Lady Gaga Cast in ‘Wednesday’ Season 2

Variety has confirmed that Lady Gaga will have a part in the upcoming season of Netflix’s Wednesday. As for what part she will play in the series remains a mystery. The first season of the series was a bonafide hit, spawning many memes including a TikTok dance set to a sped-up version of Gaga’s Bloody Mary.

Gaga hasn’t had the best of cinematic luck in recent years. She starred in Ridley Scott’s House of Gucci, but that film didn’t do well critically, and then there was this year’s universally panned Joker 2. Hopefully, her upcoming album (LG7) will be a return to form and she can dominate the pop music space once again.

This won’t be Gaga’s first time in a television series. Ryan Murphy cast her in American Horror Story: Hotel and Roanoke.

Wednesday stars Jenna Ortega as the titular character. In a bit of foresight, she told Variety in January 2023 that if Gaga were to be a part of a second season she would have to be equally matched with Miss Thornhill (Christina Ricci), “they’d have to be two monsters who understand each other.”
