In a thrilling announcement, Predator 6: Badlands is set to bring iconic action star Arnold Schwarzenegger back to the big screen as he reprises his role as Dutch from the original Predator series. Schwarzenegger, who first starred as Dutch in the 1987 classic, returns after more than three decades, bringing fresh energy and experience to a new chapter in the Predator franchise.
Directed by David Leitch (John Wick, Atomic Blonde), Predator 6: Badlands shifts the action to the rugged landscapes of the American West. Set in a post-apocalyptic near-future, Dutch, now a retired ex-military specialist living off the grid, is reluctantly pulled back into the world of Predators. When reports of strange, deadly incidents start surfacing across the desert towns, Dutch realizes his old extraterrestrial adversary has returned, threatening the survival of humanity yet again.
Adding depth to the storyline, Dutchβs return isnβt only about the huntβheβs also on a personal quest. Facing both physical and psychological scars from his past encounters, he grapples with the trauma of a battle he thought heβd left behind. This time, Dutch must train a group of younger soldiers, introducing a new generation of characters into the franchise. Among them are cast members John Boyega (Star Wars), Ana de Armas (No Time to Die), and Florence Pugh (Midsommar), adding fresh talent and new dynamics to the plot.
